Workers' Compensation

Injured on the Job? Denied Benefits?

Chicago, Illinois Workers’ Compensation Lawyers

The state of Illinois maintains a good Workers’ Compensation program that sets out decent benefits and rights for injured workers. Seidman Law Offices is dedicated to protecting those rights and assisting clients who have been seriously hurt in the workplace.

Based in downtown Chicago, Seidman Law Offices represents injured employees throughout Cook County and surrounding communities of Lake, Kane, DuPage, and Will counties. We handle both initial claims and appeals on behalf of workers who are turned down for benefits.

Are You Receiving Full Benefits?

If you have been hurt on the job – in the workplace or in the performance of your duties – you are entitled to certain benefits under Illinois Workers’ Compensation:

  • Payment of medical bills incurred. You have the right to see two doctors of your own choosing (you do not have to go to the employer’s “preferred doctor”).

  • Weekly paychecks if the injury forces you to miss work. Although the weekly benefits are only two-thirds of your regular pay, they are tax-free.

  • Lump sum payments for lasting disability resulting from the injury – the amount depends on the doctors’ assessment of the extent of your disability.

  • If the permanent disability prevents you from returning to your job, you are eligible to receive two-thirds of your wages for the rest of your life (tax-free).

  • Payment of future medical expenses. Medical rights remain open under Illinois’ system.

Workers Comp covers any workplace injury requiring medical treatment and/or lost wages: back injury, sprained limbs, strained muscles, head injury, broken bones, burns, toxic exposure, and vehicle accidents.

Solid Representation in Workplace Injury Claims

You are in good hands with the experienced lawyers of Seidman Law Offices. Steve Seidman has practiced law in Illinois since 1981, and has handled many hundreds of work injury claims. He is joined by Workers’ Compensation attorneys Sean Baker, a former state prosecutor, and Ryan Margulis, who has “insider knowledge.” His four years of experience fighting Workers’ Comp claims for the defense is a valuable advantage to our clients.

We know the Workers’ Comp system, so we have a very high success rate in submitting initial claims – and qualifying clients for benefits they didn’t know they were entitled to. We are also highly effective in appealing benefit denials to insurance companies. If you have been turned down for benefits or were recently injured at work, contact the Chicago Workers’ Compensation lawyers of Seidman Law Offices. We offer a free consultation, including evening and weekends. Get the compensation you are owed.
