The self-balancing, motorized scooters were a must-have toy in Chicago this holiday season, even though many retailers pulled them from their shelves because of safety risks.<\/p>\n<p>Hoverboards were in the news again this week when <a href=\"http:\/\/ktla.com\/2016\/02\/11\/teen-on-hoverboard-with-gun-loses-balance-accidentally-kills-cousin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">an accidental shooting<\/a> occurred as a boy fell off the toy while playing with a gun.
