These dedicated professionals are concerned that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.peoplesworld.org\/article\/nurses-charge-university-of-chicago-hospital-with-patient-neglect\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">short-staffing at the University of Chicago Medical Center <\/a>(UCMC) are a major risk to the patients.<\/p>\n<p>As such, many have filed formal complaints against the facility with both the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Illinois Department of Public Health.
